serving individuals within a 50 mile radius
of Belleville, Illinois

Providing social & sporting learning experiences for exceptional children, their parents, & their teachers in the Belleville, Illinois area since 1966. PTOEC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization offering a diverse array of year-round activities for children with mental impairments, their parents & their teachers in Belleville, Illinois & the surrounding area. Our mission is to foster social & emotional development of mentally impaired school-aged children through school & community-based activities & services.

PTOEC Athlete of the Month

PTOEC Athlete of the Month Craig Dillaplain


This months athlete is Craig Dillaplain. Craig was born in Spain in 1972 and then later lived there in the early 80’s when he first became a member of the Boy Scouts. After moving to O’Fallon, IL in 1985 he continued to be active as a Boy Scout and a member of Special Olympics. He also began working at the O’Fallon McDonald’s restaurant in 1991. He still works there today. After graduating from Belleville East high school in 1993, he moved to Belle Manor group home in Belleville, where he currently lives. Craig has participated in PTOEC soccer, track, bocce ball, bowling, swimming and basketball with Special Olympics. He has earned hundreds of medals, mostly in swimming, basketball and bowling. Craig loves to listen to music, especially country music, and dancing. He enjoys watching the Cardinals, Rams and Blues, and spending time with family and friends. Craig is a hard worker and friendly to everyone. He loves parties and holidays and playing the Wii. Craig’s mom and dad, John and Jeanne, live in O’Fallon, IL. Craig has a sister, Libby Dillaplain Magee, who is 33. His brother, Clay Dillaplain, is 30. Craig also has two nieces, Lauren (4) and Erin (11 mos.) Magee, who adore their Uncle Craig.
